Merry Christmas

Happy Holidays Everyone! I hope you enjoy my newly decorated blog! Speaking of which, you might have noticed the music! Well, for seminary this month, me & several of my classmates are listening only to church music & uplifting Chrismas music! :O I know, right? Crazy stuff! Anyways, I hope that you are all having fun with the holiday season! Merry Christmas to all!

Volleyball Season 2010

This volleyball season was pretty great! We won like 24 and lost like 3! We came in first place of the silver bracket in our first tournament, and first place in the gold bracket out second tournament. I was voted MVP for our first tourny, which was pretty awesome! It was a really great year! I'm really nervous for club to start, but I'm hoping things will all work out for the best! :D

I can not believe that I'm 16 years old! It's so crazy! My mom made my this crazy red velvet cheesecake that was SO GOOD! I loved it! My friends took me out to breakfast, so thank you very much, Katelyn, Meghan, Hollie, Thalia, Brooke, Bailey, & Payton! And My bishop told me some stuff about dating that lifted the wait of the WORLD off my shoulders!

School is Back in Session

Sophomore year is already here. It's pretty crazy! We're in the second quarter for crying out loud! School is pretty great though! I really like most of my classes and my friends are pretty legit! I'm taking:
-Pre-AP English 10
-Health
-History as Film
-Online Algebra 2
-Art 2
-Biology
-US History
-Seminary
Things are going pretty great! people say sophomore year is one of the hardest, but so far it's going really well.

Volleyball

So, the season has been pretty awesome! We are like, 21 win to 4 losses, so that's great! We played IF last Thursday, & I came down on this girl's foot, and rolled my ankle. It's kinda purple and swollen, but getting better. We have two more games left; Blackfoot and Rigby. Can't wait to CRUSH them! :] Then I need to get ready for club ball! there is going to be a club volleyball team that is pretty much the Varsity team next year. D: SCARY!

Football Game!

Went to the Hillcrest VS. Preston game! (GASP!) It was totally epic! such a good game! we won, (duh) and it was so fun! it was like, two days ago, so I can't remember the score, but I know it was close! I screamed SO LOUD! It was so much fun! Can't wait to go again! I chilled with Hollie, Meghan, & Payton. Afterwords, Me & Hollie met up with Katelyn, Riley and Lindsey at the back to school dance. That was really fun! I found out when I got home, that Jake accidentally hit Kade with a 2x4 at the game, & he has a black eye! HAHAHA! SO FUNNY!

Boating!

Just before school started, I went boating with Ashlee, Payton, & DJ. It was really fun. I attempted WAKE-BOARDING! Super fun! haha! I was terrible, but it was still fun to try! haha! We ate dinner on a dock, (fried chicken) and then tried to push each other off. Payton just jumped. It was AWESOME!

Volleyball

Well, I made the Hillcrest JV volleyball team. :D Pretty cool stuff. We have two-a-day practices all this week, but I'm actually not too sore, so that's a good sign! Things are going pretty well. I'm not sure what position I'm going to play, but my guess right now is middle blocker, and I'm cool with that. We do these Calderon point things from practice and the top six will be starters. I'm like, seventh right now but I'm moving up!

K8LYN & KLE's 9 Day Plan To Get Fit For Volleyball Tryouts!!!!!!

Okay, so the title pretty much says it all, but being related to my mother, I can definitely expand! ;) Me and Katelyn (mostly Katelyn, but why not take credit when you get the chance, right?) have devised a workout everyday for 9 days before tryouts. It is pretty much, hmm what's the word? Oh right, INSANE! But we are sticking to it! Schedule equals:

8:00: Run 1 1/2 miles & do Kristi's* workout for the day
Daytime: Break! (Oh sweet freedom!) & eat healthy
6:30(ish): bike like, 6 miles & do the Shred**

Education Week

WOOHOO! Just got back from education week with my buddy Brooke! We had a blast! It was so much fun! I feel like I learned so much! I can hardly wait to go back next year. Of course, we only got to go for two days because we had to come back for volleyball. :( but oh well! There were some great speakers! We listened to Kory Kunz, Jack Marshall, David Christensen, Michael Allred, Brad Wilcox, Curtis Jacobs, & Scott Andersen. All were phenomenal! We also heard President Clark & David A. Bednar at the devotionals. Those were great too. I had so much fun! Friday night there was a youth dance that Katelyn dragged us to, (thanks bud :P) and it was pretty good. Brooke danced with a short college guy named Bryce! haha! so funny! And we took pictures in the goofiest sunglasses we could find at Wal*mart! hahahahahaha!

Girl's camp this year was so much fun! We partied it up in the 4th year tent! I had a blast with Thalia, Brittany, & Jentry! We were pretty much awesome, and everyone LOVED US! ;) We also, as 4th years, got to go repelling! It was so intense, & way fun! Even if we only got to go once & it was only like... 50 feet! haha! It was stake camp this year, and we were the biggest ward! We were like, half the stake! haha! I think we had like, 34 girls! It was crazy! And on Thursday our ward did warrior paint on our faces! It was way intense, there was a different design for every year. We looked pretty amazing! And here is one of our cheers:

4th of July

Ah, America's Independence day. Probably one of my favorite of all the holidays, & I'm very excited! For the parade, (we walk in it each year with AKA) I tye-dyed shirts for us! It took ALL DAY! :P But they turned out way cool. The order from left to right is Kenzie, Me, Klay, Kade. Yeah, on actual celebration day, We'll have the parade, go to Justin & Kalli's for swimming & a little family party lunch dealio! WOOT WOOT! Then we go to my grandpa Kent's house to chill with them, & his neighbors, AKA: My dad's boss/partner (i don't really know) & his attractive son & nephew. ;) hahaha! totally kidding! but it's always really fun! Then on Monday, prepare yourself for the coul-de-sac of fire! it's going to be the bomb diggidy! I'm so excited!

Washington DC

I recently got back from a trip that was SO MUCH FUN! It was pretty much amazing, & I'll get the pics up here soon, but first I have to load them onto my computer & photo shop & what not! ;) haha! So anyways, here's my awesome trip:

Day 1: got up at 2:30! blecho! had to be at sandcreek at 3 so we could drive to Salt Lake. From there, we flew to Atlanta Georgia, and then to Baltimore Maryland and took a bus into DC. Long day, filled with much sleeping!

Day 2: We went to Arlington, Holocaust Museum, & the Archives. Arlington has about a billion graves of soldiers, all in perfect rows no matter what way you look at them. It was cool beans. Then we went to the Holocaust museum, and this cranky old lady really didn't like Kinzie, (haha) and so we tried avoiding her. It's pretty insane how horrible Hitler was. Sad day.

Day 3: We got to head our own separate ways to the local museums. Me, Normanders, & Megan, went to the Air & Space, Natural History, & American History. It was pretty fun. We saw rocket ships, the biggest diamond in the world (not super impressive), the Declaration of Independence, Dorothy's Ruby Slippers, & Kermit the Frog!!!! After that we went on a bus tour to see all the monuments. When we got out for one of them, it started POURING! WE got back on the bus totally soaked, and I accidentally sat on Kinzie's glasses and they were so crooked, we could not stop laughing!

Day 4: Took a tour of the capitol building, and then saw... THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!!! Yes, I walked where the President has walked! It was so fun, but somewhat scary because there are guys walking around with guns so big, it seems like the bullet would be as big as your head! AH! One guy came out of this building really fast, & I totally thought I was going to get shot. I just froze, & then he turned around & left, so while I was having a heart attack, Brittany & Tyler were laughing hysterically. Real funny guys. After our White house experience, we went to the National Spy museum.

Day 5: Took a tour of Mount Vernon (George Washington's House, for those of you failing history) which was really fun. We took a boat there! (gasp!) Then we went to Ford's Theater (where Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth) and that was cool, because I like Lincoln, so again, sad day. Megan & me ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. Delish! They have phenomenal nachos!

Day 6: Tour of Jamestown. I'm sorry Mrs. Bailey, but I can't see how this was your favorite. Some of the guys were cool, I will admit, but a couple of things were kinda slow. Glass factory was sweet! It takes talent to do that! Spinning hot glass to make cups, that was cool. Then we went to Yorktown, & our tour guide was really cool! Me, Megan, Tyler D, Carter R, & Alex C, all had to get in a tent, and we could barely fit standing up! Outr tour guide told us that normally, that's how many would SLEEP there! (cruel joke if you ask me). Finally, the ghost tour of Williamsburg. Fun? Yeah! Scary? No, I hate to break it to you.

Day 7: BUSCH GARDENS!!!!!! Funnest theme park ever! From this experience, I officially love roller coasters! I went on some crazy rides, got soaking wet, and me, Megan, Kinzie, Marissa, & Brittany went BOY STALKING at the end! So fun! We scared those boys so bad, it was hilarious! We also saw some cool river dancers, & I think one of them was Katelyn's (Jones) soul mate!!!!!! He was tall & looked like Will from, RH! haha!

Day 8: Tour of Colonial Williamsburg! This day was way fun! We did an old fashioned court, which was cool stuff, we went to a tavern to eat, and me & my mom stomped bricks! (PS. one of the brick workers was SO CUTE! He had brown hair with slight curl, and bright blue eyes, probably 17 & definitely my future husband!) And we went to a zillion stores & I bought a harp!

Day 9: Monticello, also known as Jefferson's home, was very cool. Jefferson was CONSTANTLY thinking, he was a real smart guy. His house was cool, and big & I got to write in a quill! I officially suck at it too! :)

Day 10: Gettysburg! (Ghettosburg, & I wish it wasn't true, but...) guy that looked JUST LIKE LINCOLN spoke to us. That was cool & I got a picture with him! haha! We also toldghost stories in the Farnsworth Cellar. That however, was scary, and way cool. people's phones tunred on by themselves and our storyteller was SO FUNNY! He cracked me up! "If you get freaked out guys, you aren't going to say, 'Jeenkies! what was that!?!' you might use more creative words!" hahaha!

Day 11: Breakfast at Friendly's. I had a giant cinnamon roll, that was cut in half & the middel was full of ice cream. Yes, it was delish! Flight to salt lake, used an airplane bathroom for the first time & Alex tried to get me to open an airplane door, to the outside of the plane! Almost worked too! Bus ride home was miserable, because the bus driver refused to turn on the AC. but we arrived home, and within 4 hours, I was awake and off to Volleyball camp. :P

Arizona

The first week of summer, me & my fam took a trip to AZ for a week. It was way fun! We went swimming everyday, we went out to eat, we spent a lot of time together and had a ton of fun! Best of all, we had... Lavosh! It's this crazy good pizza they make there, but on a giant cracker! Madness, I know! You'll have to try some!

Summer! (Finally!)

At last! summer has arrived! Happy day! However, I was really looking forward to sitting around and doing nothing; it's a shame I can't do that! I am going a lot of different places and not alot of time in between to do stuff. :'( whatever shall I do!?!?!?!?!?! *sigh* oh well! But, you know what would really make this summer glorious? WARM WEATHER!!!! C'mon Idaho, I believe in you!!!!!!

Last day as a Freshman

Today was my LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! It's insane to think wow, I'm a Sophomore now! Summer is going to be awesome! But today was so fun! we really didn't do anything except for a few finals. Our last hour, me, Kate, Meghan, & Hollie got out of class to eat cookies & ice cream. Then we sat by the lockers and took pictures! When we got off the bus, our bus driver gave us twinkies, so Tenner and Klay shoved theirs, (yes, the WHOLE thing) in their mouths! It was a great day! But I realized that I am not ready to grow up. 3 more years, that's all I've got! :'( I better use my time wisely!!!!

Gotta Love Contacts

Today, my right contact decided to freak out! So my eye has been watering & just killing me ALL DAY! It is SO RED! Every class I walked into, like, 2 or more people were like, "Oh what's wrong?" or "Have you been crying?". And I get to, once again, explain my oh-so-interesting story, which by the way, is loads of fun! Hopefully it will stop being retarded soon so that I don't have to wear my ugly glasses to school. :/

Final's Week

Wow, I am SO NOT READY FOR THIS! Hope I don't totally freak out and suddenly forget everything I've learned and studied and then fail everything and have to take all my classes over again! But realy, what's the chance of that happening, right? :P

Birthday Party

Saturday, I was helping my aunt at my little cousin's birthday party. It was a spa birthday party. I painted a bunch of little girls' toenails, which by the way, are VERY SMALL and VERY DIFFICULT to paint! I consider myself quite talented! ;)

MOVIE NIGHT!!!!

Kate and I had so much fun! We watched Prince Caspian! It was a way good show! I hadn't seen it in forever, so I couldn't remember anything! It was really long though. But, I've decided that if they make another one and Peter & Susan aren't there, it won't really bug me. Edmund is the cool one anyone, so it's all good!

Summer Vacation

Dear School,

I know that it is important that I receive an education, and that my future as an adult depends on it. It's true, you give a strong argument. However, I feel it's time for a break. Here's the plan. I am going to do the following things:
1) swim
2) tan
3) play volleyball
4) hang with my friends
5) sleep in
6) go to Washington DC with Megan & Mckinzie
7) go on family vacations

so, as you can see, I have better things to do for the next three months. So, if you would be so kind as to end and let me have summer vacation, it would be much appreciated.

Volleyball

Over for the season! is this some kind of cruel joke? *sigh* this is just depressing! well, it's true. Our last tournament was on the 14th & 15th. We came in 6th out of about 17 teams. so, you know not bad. Now we get to go to a bunch of camps, and then the school season starts! i'm SO excited! it's going to be the BEST!
